One of the greatest and biggest news in Hong Kong’s startup community was announced yesterday in a co-working space. That was the press conference for Hong Kong’s leading startup company GOGOVAN’s merger with 58 Suyun, creating the first “unicorn” (valuation of over US$1 Billion). BLOOM played host to this historical event and accommodated over 50 press and media from Hong Kong, China and other parts of Asia.
Chapman Leung, Managing Director of BLOOM and Jumpstart said “BLOOM is designed for startups, and what can be better to celebrate the blooming of one of Hong Kong’s best startup right here in our new co-working space. GOGOVAN understands very well how startups work and while they have achieved so much, they are still growing. By choosing to announce in a co-working space, they reaffirm just how important it is for startups to work in an environment like BLOOM in order to get the space, connections and resources to become successful. I am looking forward to the next blooming story at BLOOM.”
